Fluted Glass Ramekins from France
New for 4th qtr 2009
New Castle, DE - August 2009 - Duralex presents two versatile, elegant ramekins that look like tiny souffl´ dishes and are designed to be a cook's companion for food preparation as well as individual servings of treats like chocolate mousse. The Duralex glass ramekins are made of tempered glass to better withstand temperature changes and the demands of heavy kitchen use.
The four-ounce and eight-ounce sized ramekins are designed to bake desserts such as custard, cr´me brulee and rice pudding as well as to heat foods in the microwave. The ramekins are extremely tough and durable and with even a little bit of care will last for decades without breaking or chipping. Duralex products go in the dishwasher and because of their high quality, maintain a brand-new appearance for years.
The tempered glass is non-porous so it does not retain odors, scratch or stain. The small ramekin, the most popular size, holds four ounces and is just under 4inches in diameter.
Duralex International SAS has been manufacturing glassware in France for more then 80 years and was the inventor of tempered glass in 1939. It is the only glass manufacturing company that manufacturers all of its products in France. The ramekins, like all Duralex products, are manufactured in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin near Orléans, France.
