Duralex Presents Three New Styles of Drinking Glasses - French, Practical and Charming -
Avoid breakage and plastics with this tempered glassware

New Castle, DE - February 25, 2010 - Duralex presents three new styles of drinking glasses that are priced right and designed right for kids and adults. The Gigogne Tumblers, Amalfi Tumblers and the Orleans Mugs join the Picardie Tumblers. These crystal clear, dishwasher and microwave safe drinking glasses are delightful editions to any kitchen, table or bar. They are made from tempered glass and are BPA and PVC free. The glasses are made from tempered glass, which is 4 to 5 times stronger than standard glass, withstands heating and cooling changes and is shock resistant. The tempered glass is non-porous so it does not retain odors, scratch or stain. The glasses are solid and won’t topple over.

The Gigogne tumbler is comfortable to hold so it is the natural first choice for juice, milk, water or other beverages. These tumblers nestle into the palm of the hand also making them a practical bar glass. Gigogne, meaning multi use, is the natural drinking glass for families who want to use Natural products. The Amalfi Tumbler with its smooth sides and etched based fits in the hand beautifully as it gently tapers outward so it is delicate on the lip. Like the Italian coastline the tumbler is named after, this tumbler is luxurious and inviting. The Orleans Mug with a large grip handle is designed for hot and beverages. The tempered glass lets this mug chill in the freezer before filling it with a pint.

Duralex International SAS has been manufacturing glass tableware in France for more then 80 years and was the inventor of tempered glass in 1939. It is the only glass manufacturing company that manufacturers all of its products in France. The tumblers and mugs are manufactured in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin near Orleans, France.
